Adaptive resolution

Precision where needed, speed where possible

Unmatched throughput, precision and surface roughness are achieved using UpNano’s patented Adaptive Resolution technology. With multiple print modes, users can optimize each print job by applying fine detail where it matters most and increasing throughput where possible in their part geometries.

UpNano’s printing systems feature powerful laser sources that enable adjustment of laser power, ensuring homogeneous polymerization and consistent material properties. Customers have the flexibility to conveniently segment components in a print job according to their requirements.

Adaptive Resolution:
Precision where needed, speed where possible

Adaptive Resolution is UpNano’s patented technology for dynamically adjusting the voxel size within a print job. By combining fine and coarse printing modes, the NanoOne achieves high detail in critical part regions while significantly increasing throughput in less detail-sensitive areas.

The laser focal point is tailored to the specific requirements of each segment: enlarged for bulk segments and precisely focused for the outer shells and fine details. This adaption can, metaphorically speaking, be described as a marker pen with two sides: the thin tip for details and the thick side for swiftly filling in the inner areas.

3D Adaptive Resolution (3DAR)

Engineered for smooth surface results

Our proprietary 3DAR print mode enables dynamic voxel control in all three dimensions, allowing optimized resolution and superior surface quality down to Sq 5 nm.

With traditional layer-based printing, surface finish can only be improved by a reduction of layer height, which in turn linearly increases print time. 3DAR print mode enables dynamic control of voxel height, allowing it to precisely match the target geometry while maintaining large layer heights – pushing both resolution and print speed.
